Isle of Wight Steam Railway

Private Charter Day

October 10th 2015

I am pleased to announce another special private charter day at the award winning Isle of Wight Steam Railway, where I hope to offer, during the course of the day, a variety of more unusual train formations and recreations.

The day will feature TWO locomotives, hopefully W24 “Calbourne” the sole surviving Adams 02, and the newly restored Ivatt 41298.

I hope to be able to include passenger and freight workings with the opportunity to ride in the brake van with the goods stock. An appropriate island heritage goods set is available, but a further option might also be the Ivatt with ballast train!

The new Train Story building will also be open for viewing, and I hope that workshop visits will also be possible.

The day is not specifically a photographic charter event, although there will, as usual, be photo opportunities during the day.

Tickets are £69, and the day is limited to just 60 participants, who will enjoy exclusive use of the railway with free tea / coffee for the day. Not cheap, but we are paying for two locomotives to be steamed for us!
