We are pleased to offer a chance to travel back to an era of fine cuisine and romantic adventure, aboard the steam hauled Golden Arrow Pullman train of the famous Bluebell Railway.

The journey begins as you board our vintage motor coach for a gentle ride through picturesque Sussex towns and villages. We take a lunchtime stop at the delightful town of Midhurst, before continuing on to Sheffield Park, the headquarters of the railway. We pause to admire the beautifully restored station before the short drive to our hotel, the Brambletye, at the attractive village of Forest Row, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. This hostelry was used by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who featured it in many of the adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Evening dinner is taken aboard one of the beautifully restored dining cars, resplendent with gleaming brass, fine marquetry panelling and ornate tableware, bathed in a romantic glow from your table lamp, as you glide through the “Garden of England”. After our journey you return to the gas lit Sheffield Park Station where our vintage coach will be waiting to return you to the hotel – a truly romantic end to a memorable evening.
On Sunday morning there is time for a leisurely breakfast, before commencing our homeward journey, stopping at the delightful town of Arundel en route.

We believe our tour offers a rare opportunity to travel FIRST CLASS aboard a genuine 1920’s Pullman car, of a type that once saw service on the world’s finest trains, hauled by a magnificent steam locomotive. The Bluebell Railway is regarded by many as the premier steam line in southern England, and the recreation of the Golden Arrow is the result of many thousands of hours of painstaking restoration work.
