We are pleased to offer another chance to travel back to an era of fine cuisine and romantic adventure, aboard the steam hauled Watercress Belle luxury dining train through rural Hampshire.

The journey begins as you board our vintage motor coach for a gentle ride through picturesque  Hampshire villages, along the Meon Valley to the attractive Georgian town of Alresford and our hotel.  We have time to relax and explore the town, or if you prefer, to visit the nearby station to watch the railway activity.

Evening dinner is taken aboard the Watercress Belle, which departs from Alresford station at 7.30pm, and makes two round trips of the line to Alton, whilst you are served a five course dinner, returning at about 1030pm. The hotel is then only a few yards from the station.

After a leisurely breakfast on Sunday morning we drive to the Hollycombe Steam Collection near Liphook, to enjoy the wide variety of attractions of the Old Tyme steam fairground, and the narrow gauge steam railway wandering through the gardens. A most enjoyable way to spend an afternoon, before returning to Portsmouth for an early evening ferry back to the island.

Tour price is £195 per person, sharing twin / double room, which includes travel from the island or Portsmouth by vintage coach, dinner (but excluding drinks) aboard the Watercress Belle, one night accommodation at the Swan Hotel, and entrance to Hollycombe. Insurance is available at £15 per person. Deposit £50 per person to confirm booking, but please note that bookings for this tour can only be accepted in multiples of two.
