Sidmouth and Devon's Heritage Coast

May 23rd - 26th, 4 days

Following the success of our last tour, I am pleased to offer another four day holiday based in the coastal resort of Sidmouth, an attractive town nestling between the hills and sheer cliffs of east Devon.

We have discovered the Hunters Moon Hotel, a Grade II listed early Georgian building set in some two acres of grounds, a very comfortable hotel, with an excellent restaurant.

Our itinerary will include the Seaton Tramway, which runs along the valley of the River Axe from Seaton to Colyton, and I hope to arrange for a horse drawn carriage transfer between the tramway and the centre of Colyton, which describes itself as "the most rebellious town  in Devon", following the decision of many local men to join the Duke of Monmouth's rebellion in 1685! We will also find time to visit the period 1920s garage, now a motoring museum, in nearby Colyford, and visit the delightful little town of Beer.

We have also arranged for a short tour of Sidmouth in a 1920s Austin "Toastrack" style charabanc, which, for many years operated in the town and has only recently been restored.

The tour price is £445 per person sharing twin or double room, with £30 single supplement if required. This includes travel in our own vintage coach from the island or Brockenhurst, for mainland rail connections, three nights hotel accommodation with dinner each evening, and excursions as outlined. A deposit of £50 per person is requested to confirm your booking please.

I have only TWENTY places available, so early booking is requested please!
