MURDER MYSTERY ABOARD THE MENDIP BELLE, September 22nd - 23rd

As a variation to our range of dining train weekends, we are pleased to offer a “Murder Mystery” themed steam hauled dining experience at the East Somerset Railway, founded by the wildlife artist David Shepherd.

The journey begins as you board our vintage coach and trundle via Salisbury, Warminster and Frome to our overnight hotel at Midsomer Norton. We then drive to Cranmore, just east of Shepton Mallet to join our train for the evening.

Evening dinner is taken aboard the first class dining coaches of the “Mendip Belle”, and as your steam hauled journey commences the plot begins to unfold, and passengers start to fall victim to an unknown assailant! Can you solve the mystery as the train meanders through the Somerset countryside?

At the end of the evening our coach will be waiting to return you to our hotel, and after a leisurely breakfast on Sunday morning we amble back returning to the island late afternoon / early evening.

Our hotel is the well appointed Best Western Centurion at Midsomer Norton, and facilities include an indoor swimming pool.

Tour price is £185 per person sharing twin / double room, with £22 single supplement if required. This includes travel with the group from the island, or our mainland departure point at Brockenhurst, Saturday evening train travel with dinner, (but excluding drinks) and one night hotel accommodation with breakfast.

Deposit £50 per person to confirm booking please.
